Throughout his years as Moravian's football coach, Scot became very active in nationwide issues for Department III and served for three years as the Chairman of the Division III Football Council. His national involvement handled even higher obligations when, in 1999, he was elected to the Board of Trustees for the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).

Six years after being named to the Board, Dapp was chosen as the President of the AFCA making him only the 5th Division III coach to hold that position in the 83-year history of the Association. Now entering his fourth year as the Sports Director, Scot continues to strive to assist all 18 of Moravian's university sports in their quest to be effective. He works closely with the Moravian Hall of Popularity Committee and Moravian's Blue & Grey Club. Each year he organizes a Players Council consisted of one representative of each group and after that meets with this group as soon as a month to talk about a range of topics worrying Moravian athletics.
